Decorate A Cactus With Barry’s Top Tips

Decorate A Cactus With Barry’s Top Tips

Every year we all look forward to getting the tree out and decorating to the chorus of festive jingles, but have you ever decorated your cacti? Here Barry shares his top tips on how to prepare your cacti for the December festivities!

1. Get him lit!

We love to use mini LED lights on copper wire, the wire allows you to wrap the lights around the plant AND they will stay in place. The perfect way to add a quirky yet understated twist to your Christmas decorations.

2. Perfect pom-poms
Mini craft pom-poms are a simple and accessible way of decorating your cacti and make for a colourful addition while easily attaching to the prickles.

3. Gravel makeover!
Coloured gravel can make all the difference. This will instantly get your everyday prickly pal, party ready! Simply add coloured gravel to top the soil. White, gold and silver make excellent options to give that festive sparkly feel.

4. And of course… a mini Christmas hat to finish him off!
